Riverland Farm
is a certified organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, Massachusetts growing for CSA member families, local grocery stores, and local producers of value-added products. Equity Trust’s first Riverland-associated loan was used by the property owners to renovate their tobacco barn to create farm office space and a vegetable washing, packing, and storage facility, enabling them to wash and store vegetables later into the season, and even through the winter months. More recently, when they sold the business to their farm manager, we helped with part of the financing she needed.

Real Pickles
Real Pickles, a small Western Massachusetts business producing organic raw pickled products, received a loan from the Equity Trust Fund in 2009 to help finance a the purchase and renovation of an energy efficient processing facility. The purchase is enabling Real Pickles to expand its business and continue contributing to the local food movement.
